Our Process

Step 1
Delivery of Plastic Waste

Plastic waste is collected from different collecting centres allover the country by different collectors. The collectors then transport the waste and deliver it to the factory.

Step 2
Sorting and Cleaning

Sorting: Plastic waste is sorted based on type, (we use HD and LD) color, and condition. Sorted plastic waste is cleaned to remove contaminants, such as labels, caps, and residue.

Step 3
Shredding and Granulation

Washing: After the waste has been sorted, it is taken into the factory and it is put in the washing line to be cleaned shredded into small pieces which are called flakes to increase surface area.

Granulation: Shredded plastic is then put through another machine called the pelletizer where it is melted and formed into small pellets.

Step 4
Compounding

The pellets are mixed with additives e.g., colorants (master batch) to enhance properties.

Step 5
Extrusion

Pellets are then put into an extrusion machine called the film blower where they are melted and formed into a long, thin tube, called "extrudate."

Step 6
Bag Formation

Rolls: Extrudate is formed into rolls.
Cutting: The rolls are put into another machine which cuts them into the assigned individual bag shapes.
Sealing: Bag shapes are sealed along the edges

Step 7
Quality Control

Inspection: Finished bags are inspected for quality and defects.
Testing: Bags are tested for strength, durability, and other performance criteria.

The final poly bag product is now ready for use in various applications, such as packaging, retail, or industrial uses.

Our goal is to responsibly manage the waste, alleviating environmental risks and fostering a more sustainable approach to waste management. Our team will handle the collection, transportation, and disposal of the waste in accordance with relevant regulations and QCIL’s preferred methodology.
